Allergens & Special Dietary Requirements
- Please ensure that you state any allergies before purchasing any item from Brownie Bakes & Desserts.
- As this is a home-baking business all allergens stated by the Food Standards Agency are still used in my kitchen. Whilst the utmost care is taken to prevent any cross contamination by conducting daily checks, there may be traces may be present in all products. Therefore, I am unable to cater for anyone with severe food allergies.
- For items listed as plant-based, please note that while Brownie Bakes & Desserts do make these products, this is not a 100% plant-based business, therefore you should only place an order if you are comfortable with this.
*Allergens stated by the Food Standards Agency include: celery, cereals containing gluten (such as barley and oats), crustaceans (such as prawns, crabs and lobsters), eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs (such as mussels and oysters), mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites (if they are at a concentration of more than ten parts per million) and tree nuts (such as almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios and macadamia nuts).
Consumption of Products
- It is recommended that all postal treats should be consumed within 3 – 5 days of arrival.
- For any cakes or cupcakes, it is recommended that the products should be consumed within 2 – 3 days.
- It is also recommended that products should be kept in an airtight container to retain freshness whenever possible.
- All baked products sold are suitable for freezing. However, please note that the Food Standards Agency recommends that food should not be frozen for longer than 3 months to preserve quality. Products should be defrosted completely before consumption and should also be eaten on the same day that it is defrosted.
Payments and Cancellations
- Brownie Bakes & Desserts do not accept any cash payments and payments should be made via the website.
- Unfortunately, I am not able to accept order cancellations on postal treats if the dispatch date is less than 3 days away. Dispatch dates for postal treats are always on a Monday, therefore any cancellation should be requested by 5pm, on the Friday prior to this.
- Cupcake orders should be ordered at least 7 days prior to the collection date. I am unable to accept order cancellations on cupcake orders if the collection date is less than 3 days away.
- These cancellation periods are specified as fresh ingredients are bought when I receive orders.
- Brownie Bakes & Desserts retains the right to cancel any orders – this will only be in unusual circumstances such as health issues. In this case, money will be refunded to you in full.
